Aetna is offering 654 Medicare Advantage plans for 2027, up from 642, but it is leaving Maryland and New Hampshire and pulling standard plans from 123 counties. If you are in one of those areas, your Aetna plan ends December 31, 2026.
Aetna is part of CVS Health and is one of the largest Medicare Advantage insurers in the country. Its plans include HMOs, PPOs and Special Needs Plans, and benefits vary by plan and county.
For 2027, Aetna is reshaping rather than shrinking: it is cutting 20 PPO plans and adding 29 Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans, while pulling out of two states and 123 counties. This page covers what changed, what Aetna plans may include, and how to compare. See Aetna Medicare Advantage plans 2027 and compare 2027 Aetna plans.
